Game Live Japan 2020 Will Reveal More Games on September 25-27

Kadokawa Game Linkage has announced that it will hold Game Live Japan 2020, a livestreaming program that will deliver more new game information. It will run for three days, from September 25 to September 27, 2020. [Thanks, Famitsu.]

The Japanese press release noted that a lot of game makers will participate in the Game Live Japan live stream to deliver scoops on new games, as well as announcing new information on anticipated titles.

The airing schedule for Game Live Japan 2020 is as follows. Note that all times are listed in Japan Standard Time (UTC+9).

  • Friday, September 25, 2020 – 19:00 to 23:30
  • Saturday, September 26, 2020 – 13:00 to 23:30
  • Sunday, September 27, 2020 – 13:00 to 22:30

The show will be available in not only Japanese, but also in English and Chinese at the same time. The English streams will be specifically available on YouTube and Twitch. The main Japanese streams will run on YouTube, Niconico, and Periscope, while the Chinese stream will be held live on Bilibili and archived later on Weibo.

The Japanese stream will be hosted by male comedian groups from the Yoshimoto Kogyo group and popular female celebrities, such as the idol Mirin Furukawa and voice actress Ruriko Aoki. It is yet to be known how the English streams will be handled.

Game Live Japan 2020 will run from September 25 to September 27, 2020, at the same time the Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online live streams take place. More details about this event will be revealed at a later date.
