In FutureGrind’s future, there are vertical motorbikes that grind along rails across sunny backdrops. They’re called Grinders and they’re really easy to break. Controlling one of these dangerous machines is at the center of this next game from Milkbag Games. It’s heading to PlayStation 4 and PC.

The Grinder that you control has a red wheel and a blue wheel. These wheels travel along rails but if you let don’t match the color of the wheel to the rail (red to red, blue to blue) then your Grinder will short circuit and you’ll fail that attempt. There are also white rails that are neutral so it’s not a continual balancing act.

Surviving each track should be hard enough in itself, but FutureGrind takes its cues from OlliOlli as much as it does Uniracers. So yep, that means you should also strive to chaining tricks to rack up a score. “Balance on top of a rail for a Manual. Boost up into the bottom of a rail for an Undergrind. Dangle from the top of a rail for a Hanger, and so on,” explains Milkbag Games.

You’ll have six 3D environments with a number of tracks to beat in each of these while music by bignic pumps you along – you can listen to the game’s EP here. FutureGrind also has a career mode to beat if that’s any motivation.

FutureGrind will be coming out on early 2016. You can vote for it on Steam Greenlight.
