Fugue Is a New Form of Tingyun in Honkai: Star Rail

HoYoVerse finally released the new Honkai: Star Rail drip marketing that revealed the other upcoming character will be Fugue, a five-star form of Tingyun. She will be a part of the 2.7 update alongside a playable version of Penacony’s Sunday.

Fugue will be a five-star Nihility unit when she debuts. She’ll deal fire damage when she attacks. As before, she remains a Foxian. Her outfit and hairstyle changed in this new form, however.

Here’s the official announcement:

The original four-star Tingyun has been a part of Honkai: Star Rail since the game’s launch. She is a four-star character who is constantly available, though it is easier to get her when she’s one of the focus units on a five-star featured banner. That version of her deals lightning damage, and she’s part of the Harmony path designed to buff allies.

It isn’t unusual for existing characters in Honkai: Star Rail to get a new form. Tingyun and Fugue are one example. The previous one was Dan Heng and Imbibitor Lunae. In each case, the original character was a four-star unit. Then, the follow-up ended up being a five-star one. In each of these cases, the paths and elements were different for the updated five-star forms.

Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and Fugue will be a part of the 2.7 update. Tingyun, as a four-star, is a permanent part of the gacha.
