You might remember last December when FromSoftware reassured that the Armored Core series isn’t over and company president Hidetaka Miyazaki hinted at a possible development for the series. [Thanks, Games Talk.]
The info comes from a recent interview with Famitsu about FromSoftware’s upcoming VR adventure game Déraciné which was revealed at E3 2018. In the interview, president Miyazaki said “In a past interview I talked about three major development lines that are in the works, but Déraciné is not one of those. I just wanted to let some of the FromSoftware fans know that.”
When asked if he was talking about the whose bodies are ready for combat, as in fans waiting for a new Armored Core game, he didn’t decline.
Lastly, it’s been discovered a while back on a job recruitment site that FromSoftware is looking to add staff for a new project by Naoyuki Takahashi, who directed Armored Core V and Armored Core: Verdict Day.
Armored Core: Verdict Day was the last entry from the series, which released in September 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
