Free FFVII Remake Item Pack DLC Includes 3 Materia

Square Enix announced a new bonus for Final Fantasy VII Remake and the Intergrade PS5 version. A free FFVII Remake Item Pack DLC will debut on June 10, 2021. This add-on will give people a chance to get summoning materia they might have missed, like Cactaur, Carbuncle, and Chocobo Chick.

Back when FFVII Remake came out, there were only certain ways to get specific summoning materia. For example, the Chocobo Chick was a pre-order bonus. You would only get the Cactaur and Carbuncle materia if you bought the Digital Deluxe Edition of FFVII Remake. When the FFVII Remake Item Pack DLC appears, everyone can get them without additional or special purchases.

Square Enix did note that this will be a mandatory download for FFVII Remake Intergrade. It noted that people who got one, two, or all three of those summons on the PS4 won’t automatically get them in the PS5 version. All PS5 owners with the game will have to get the free FFVII Remake Item Pack DLC to access them.

Each one has its own special niche in-game. As usual, Cactaur has needle attacks. 1,000 Needles and 10,000 Needles can be used. Carbuncle is a support summon that could protect by doing things like using Ruby Light to reduce physical damage or Emerald Light to cast Haste. The Chocobo Chick materia can use elemental abilities and also has Chocoflare as a possible attack.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is available for the PS4. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will come to the PS5 on June 10, 2021. The FFVII Remake free Item Pack DLC will appear that same day. The PS4 update that adds the save data transfer option is immediately available.
