Kotobukiya announced its newest Hatsune Miku model kit. The Frame Music Girl Snow Miku is in the works. She’ll begin appearing in Japan in February 2021, before heading to other storefronts outside Japan in March 2021.
Like all Frame Arms Girls and Megami Device model kits from Kotobukiya, this Miku can be assembled without glue and won’t require any painting. Waterslide decals are included for accents, and a nipper is recommended for removing parts from the runners. She’s based on designs from Fumikane Shimada and Takayuki Yanase and is essentially a variant of other Frame Music Girl kits, just with the Snow Miku color scheme. She comes with three face plates, with one having her looking forward and smiling, a second having her look to her left while smiling, and the third making it appear as though she’s singing.
Here are some pictures of the finished kit from Kotobukiya product page. When complete, you have a fully articulated and poseable model.
This is the third Frame Music Girl so far. First, there was the original Miku. She’s been around since 2018. A Sakura Miku version followed in April 2020. Though technically, you could consider this the fourth, as Kotobukiya does have a hand scale Miku model kit, which will be only be about three inches tall, coming out in January 2021.
The Frame Music Girl Snow Miku will appear in Japan in February 2021. Kotobukiya’s US storefront’s pre-orders are open and it will ship the kit in March 2021.
