Bandai will release Pokemon versions of its kyarapaki candy from April 2022, though they will also appear from March 15, 2022 at select Pokemon Center stores. This is because of the Pokemon Fossil Museum event that will run in Tokyo, Aichi, and Oita throughout 2022. In total, there will be eight different Pokemon you can unearth from the chocolate. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]
The fossil Pokemon you can get kyarapaki candies of are as follows:
- Bastiodon (Level 1)
- Carracosta (Level 1)
- Rampardos (Level 1)
- Aurorus (Level 2)
- Tyrantrum (Level 2)
- Aerodactyl (Level 3)
- Archeops (Level 3)
- Kabutops (Level 3)
Each Pokemon has a level indicating its difficulty to extract, with Level 1 being the easiest and Level 3 being the hardest. Kyarapaki is a candy where you remove a white chocolate design from milk chocolate. According to the commercial, you can easily break them apart with your hands. There is also a little Pikachu archaeologist on the Pokemon kyarapaki.
The Pokemon Fossil Museum event will run from March 15 to June 19, 2022 in Tokyo, and July 16 to November 6, 2022 in Aichi. Its final run will be December 10, 2022 to January 24, 2023 in Oita. These dates may change in the future, and the website has a notice saying that more venues may appear. You will be able to see large Pokemon fossils, as well as compare them to real-life dinosaur fossils.
The Pokemon kyarapaki candies will appear in stores around Japan from April 2022.
