Fossil Fighters: Frontier will be released for Nintendo 3DS in North America on March 20th, Nintendo announced this morning. The game will include both a singleplayer story mode, a local co-op mode, and an online battle mode.

In Fossil Fighters: Frontier, you excavate Vivosaur fossils and use them to bring dinosaur-like creatures to life. You can then use these creatures to do battle in a tournament. Each Vivosaur has four parts: head, body, arms and legs.

In most cases, you only need the head fossil to bring one to life, but excavating the other parts allows your Vivosaur to acquire more skills.

Frontier also has a new feature whereby you can drive a buggy around to explore its world and discover new fossils. More information on the game can be found on its official website.
