Foamstars Enters Its Final Season, NieR: Automata Crossover Teased

Square Enix is starting to scale back Foamstars support, as the online multiplayer game with Splatoon-like elements will enter its final Party Goes On season on December 13, 2024. There is a collaboration event coming before the end, however. The last trailer showed 2B and 9S from NieR: Automata will appear in Foamstars.

There’s a final trailer going over the last Party Goes On Foamstars season update before new additions end. It starts by showing off shot customization with Foam Core. The Ramzey of Diamonds Squad Mission comes up after that. The Extreme Party Skill Shuffle Party and Pitchside Homerun Party fights followed. It closed out with seasonal skins and the NieR: Automata Foamstars tease.

2B and 9S won’t be full playable characters in Foamstars, as the NieR: Automata stars appear as skins instead. We can earn them for free and don’t have to pay for them. ΔGITO will be the one dressing as 9S, while Soa can look like 2B.

Here’s that reveal:

Square Enix official support noted that Foamstar Cup events will continue after seasonal updates end. All 10 season passes will be available via Season Pass to choose from, so you can earn what you missed. Extreme Parties will still remain, Ranked Party will become Foamstars Cup, and Challenges will still appear as Daily and Event ones.

Party Goes On will be the tenth season for Foamstars since the game launched in February 2024, as well as its final one. The previous one was Soulful Hour. That started on November 7, 2024. Ranked and Extreme Party events appeared alongside that season, as did the new Golden Glow Villa map, Ramzey of Clubs Squad Mission boss, and new customization items.

In case you missed that particular update, you can see it and its new additions in the dedicated trailer below:
