It took some time, but the first Uncharted movie trailer is here. Sony dropped the video, which takes place earlier in the life of Nathan Drake. In the film, we’ll see a younger version of him, played by Tom Holland. It will follow him as he heads out on an adventure with Victor “Sully” Sullivan, who is played by Mark Wahlberg. The trailer also confirmed that it will be “exclusively in movie theaters.”
Things begin with a few clips from the movie. Then, the trailer proper begins. We see Nate and Sully’s first meeting, where the former is tending bar. Then, we see the two of them talking about an undiscovered treasure. Sully also mentions Nate’s brother, Sam. Once the two head out on their adventure, we also get to see Sophia Ali as Chloe Frazer. Antonio Banderas and Tati Gabrielle also both appear briefly throughout the video.
Here’s the full Uncharted movie trailer.
This comes after multiple delays and hiccups in the production process. For example, filming proper didn’t actually begin until July 2020. Images of Holland in-costume didn’t show up until October 2020. And throughout it all, there were multiple release window delays.
The Uncharted movie will appear on February 18, 2022.
