First Screens Of New Game! The Challenge Stage! Show Aoba, Hifumi, Kou, And Shizuku

5pb. recently announced that they’re working on a PlayStation Vita visual novel game for New Game! and Famitsu has followed up with a look at its first screenshots featuring some of its main characters.

New Game! The Challenge Stage! will put you in the role of Aoba Suzukaze, who is tasked with the work of creating a DLC for a major RPG title that was made in a rush.

The game is split into two major parts. The “Growth Part” is where you’ll learn skills from seniors at the development company. Aoba’s stats will change depending on who you learn from.

The “Adventure Part” is where most of the story takes place. This is where you’ll partake in talks with the senior staff members at work and friends. Your choices will affect how close you get with other characters, who will have special episodes later in the game as you advance through their character routes.

New Game! The Challenge Stage! will release in Japan on January 26, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
