Guilty Gear and BlazBlue makers, Arc System Works, are currently working on a new Dragon Ball Z fighter, which features over 100 characters from the entire franchise. The official website shares a first glimpse at some screenshots for Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden.
The fighter has characters from Goku to Mr. Satan, and is a 2D fighter that will have a support character system, along with 1v1 and team fights. Here’s a look at Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Future Trunks using their signature moves:
With moves like his x20 Kaio-ken Kamehameha, and the Spirit Bomb, Goku is an overall balanced character with nice reach with his attacks. He’s also speedy, which helps him pull off combos in mid-air with ease.
Vegeta, the Prince of Saiyans, has special attacks like his Final Flash and Galick Gun. His playstyle will revolve around his speed and tricky movements, along with various combos to go with them.
Teen Gohan has excellent reach with his powerful dash attacks, along with his Masenko attack and more. He doesn’t sound like a combo-heavy character like Goku and Vegeta, but he’s said to have some surprising and powerful mid-ranged attacks that he can use to his advantage.
Trunks (Future/Super) uses attacks like Buster Flash and Buster Cannon, and he specializes at mid-ranged attacks, similar to Gohan. He also has attacks that can help instantly close the distance between him and his opponents, giving him nice surprise attacks of his own.
Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden will release in Japan this summer for Nintendo 3DS.
