Hatsune Miku is the first mascot DLC added to the PC app Desktop Mate. With the newly released DLC for the application, Miku can now hang out on top of your computer desktop windows, peek around the border of your screen, play with your mouse cursor, and respond to alarms.
Desktop Mate is a free mascot application available for PC that allows cute anime characters to hang out on your screen while you work, study, or use your computer. The app features various settings such as character’s size, app volume, and character graphic options. More unannounced characters are planned to appear in Desktop Mate as DLC.
A release trailer for Desktop Mate shows some of the functions available. The trailer prominently features Aiel-tan (or Aieru-tan in Japanese,) the mascot character of developer infiniteloop and the default free character available in Desktop Mate, with the Hatsune Miku DLC being briefly advertised at the end of the clip.
