Here’s a closer look at the latest footage, which teases some of the new characters coming to the free-to-play gacha game alongside returning favorites. While the focus is primarily on Penacony and the characters we met there, two take center stage. One is Firefly, who is a major focus in the Honkai: Star Rail trailer, and the other is the “Legendary New Swordsmaster” March 7th from the Wardance teaser.

This new Summer Game Fest 2024 trailer comes after a bevy of news about what people can expect from Honkai: Star Rail in June 2024. The 2.3 update arrives on June 19, 2024. In addition to rerun banners for Argenti and Ruan Mei, it means players’ first chance to pull for the characters Firefly and Jade. New events and a new Simulated Universe mode will appear too. Not to mention a number of new Xianzhou Luofu characters are on the horizon.

Right now, Boothill and Fu Xuan are still available as the latest five-star banners. Those end on June 18, 2024, just ahead of the next update. As for 2.4, Jiaoqiu and Yunli will appear to give people new Nihility and Destruction character options.

Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices.
