Nintendo announced Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion pack subscribers will get Fire Emblem GBA games, but our region depends on how many they’ll see. On June 23, 2023, Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade will show up worldwide. However, in Japan both that game and Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade will come to the service.
Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade basically was released as “Fire Emblem” when it showed up outside Japan in 2003. That’s the story of Eliwood, Hector, and Lyndis. People could pick which route they wanted to follow, with the story differing slightly based on the perspective.
In Japan, that entry was preceded by Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade in 2002. That starred Roy, the son of Eliwood, and Lilina, the daughter of Hector. So this is a situation where it appeared first, then Nintendo and Intelligent Systems created and released The Blazing Blade prequel.

The Fire Emblem GBA games will join the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack service on June 23, 2023, though The Blazing Blade is the only worldwide release. Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade will only join the service in Japan.
