The upcoming Fire Emblem Heroes update in December will require Apple devices to run on iOS 13.0 or later. After the update, unsupported devices can no longer download, update, or access the game. The Feh Pass will also become inaccessible after the change.
Important Info for iOS Users
Following an update scheduled for December, Fire Emblem Heroes will require iOS 13.0 or higher to play. After the update, the Feh Pass service will no longer be accessible on unsupported devices. The change means that some users who play Fire Emblem Heroes on older Apple devices may have to purchase a new device to continue playing the game. iOS 13 is officially supported on iPhone 6S or later. Furthermore, iPadOS 13 does not support devices such as the first generation of iPad Air or iPad Mini 2 and 3. Nintendo recommends users cancel their Feh Pass subscriptions at least 24 hours before renewal.
This follows a previous update from back in 2020, which required Apple users to use iOS 10 or higher. A similar update for Android devices will also launch in February 2022. That update will require Android players to use Android OS 6 or higher. At the time of writing, there is no confirmed update release date for both iOS and Android devices.
Earlier in November, Nintendo added Ascended Laegjarn as Fire Emblem Heroes‘ latest Ascendant hero. Before that, it unveiled a Resplendent Ryoma as part of the FEH Pass subscription.
Fire Emblem Heroes is immediately available for Android and iOS devices. The next Fire Emblem Heroes update is set to launch sometime in December 2021. Once the update is live, Apple users will need to use iOS 13 or later.
