The developers announced the event last November as the second Fire Emblem Expo. The first one took place at Zepp Tokyo in May 2019. The second Expo was scheduled to take place on May 5-6, 2020 at Zepp Namba in Osaka, Japan. It was expected to be another celebration of all-things Fire Emblem, including art galleries for Fire Emblem: Blazing Blade and Path of Radiance, live performances, and more.

After monitoring the situation and considering the current circumstances surrounding the coronavirus outbreak, Intelligent Systems decided to prioritize the health and wellbeing of all fans and everybody involved. This resulted in the cancelation of both days for Fire Emblem Expo II. Furthermore, those who’ve purchased tickets for the event will receive refunds. The refund period starts April 6, 2020 at 10:00am JST and it will end on April 21, 2020 at 11:59pm JST. You can check here for more information on ticket refunds.

Lastly, Intelligent Systems shared a deep apology for having to cancel the event like this, but hope for your understanding. The company also thanked the many fans who purchased tickets from various places.
