Square Enix announced that the Final Fantasy XVI Original Soundtrack will be available for purchase on July 19, 2023. The soundtrack will be available in two editions physically, a regular and an ultimate edition. Additionally, one of the FFXVI battle themes, “Find the Flame,” is now available to listen on select streaming services.
The regular edition of the soundtrack includes seven discs. These will feature a compilation of music tracks from the upcoming action RPG. This edition includes a booklet with art from the game and liner notes from Composer Masayoshi Soken. It will cost 6,600 JPY (~$47).
Meanwhile, the special edition of the Final Fantasy XVI Original Soundtrack includes seven discs, plus a bonus eighth disc with extra tracks not included in the regular edition, such as tracks from various cutscenes of the game. It will cost 8,580 JPY (~$61).
The official website for the soundtrack also specifies that the song “Tsuki Wo Miteita – Moongazing” by Kenshi Yonezu will not be included.
As a reminder, Square Enix is collaborating with Sony to release FFXVI themed gaming headsets and a wearable neck speaker.
The Final Fantasy XVI Original Soundtrack will be available for purchase on July 19, 2023. Final Fantasy XVI will be available for the PlayStation 5 on June 22, 2023. There is a six-month exclusivity period.
