During a livestream this morning, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata brought up the recent Internet memes featuring Noctis and his buddies in a car, looking off to the side. That scene from the game has been Photoshopped in a number of ways, including one of the more amusing examples that you see above.
Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto isn’t too crazy about the meme, but it turns out that Tabata finds it pretty hilarious. As a result, Square Enix have released art assets of this scene (and two others) for fans to mess around with.
Above are the art assets in question. They’re PNG files with transparency enabled, so you won’t have to mess around with erasing the white spaces around the characters. Just click on the images to access their enlarged versions and download the PNGs.
It’s a smart move on Tabata’s part—he sees an opportunity to get fans to market the game, even if they are poking fun of it at times. The more important thing is that people are talking about Final Fanasy XV.
Final Fantasy XV is in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
