Final Fantasy XIV is getting its Shadowbringers expansion this July, and the developers revealed a new race known as the “Hrothgar” as well as a reveal of the Dancer job at the Fan Festival 2019 in Tokyo.

The two big reveals during the keynote at the fan festival included a first look at the new race known as the “Hrothgar” and the Dancer job. We also got to see more of the high-end raids called the Scourge of the First: Sin Eaters that features a boss designed by Tetsuya Nomura.

The expansion also introduces a new Beast Tribe known as “The Dwarves.” They are never without their helmets, never without their beards, and expecrts in mining and metallurgy.

Here’s a closer look at the new Hrothgar race, the Dancer job, and various new places to visit in the expansion:

New Race – Hrothgar

The Hrothgar are a new playable race as a male-only race to go with the female-only Viera we’ll see in Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers. Both have unique heads, customizable features, and their own clans.

Square Enix also shared a neat little tidbit on the races:

New Job – Dancer

The Dancer is a ranged DPS class that uses Throwing Weapons as its main arm. It has no associated class, so it starts out at level 60 but that’s still tentative. In combat they use their Throwing Weapons to deal damage from a distance, and they can also perform dances as abilities that include buffs for the party members.
