Square Enix have shared various tidbits on what to expect from Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’s patch 2.4 update that launches later this month. The latest trailer for the update gives a nice recap on all the new content it will bring to Eorzea.

The trailer starts out with a look at the fight against Shiva, the Ice Queen, who’ll face off against the heroes of light at the Akh Afah Amphitheatre. We don’t know what the fight will be like yet, but it’ll certainly be trick with ice mechanisms.

Next, they show a look at the new Rogue class in action as they sneak around and take out their enemies. Next, we get to see the stealthy Ninjas show what they can do, using just some of their many skills in their repertoire.

At the 2:40 mark, we get to see some footage of Hildibrand’s next adventure, where players will face off against Ultros and Typhon at a special arena called the Dragon’s Neck Coliseum, which is also the same name used in a battle arena that was in Final Fantasy VI.

Snowcloak is a brand new dungeon in the 2.4 update, which fits in quite well with the theme of “Dreams of Ice”. Players will face off against Fenrir in this instance. The following parts show Hard Mode versions of The Sunken Temple of Qarn and Sastasha.

The 6:05 mark gives us a look at the Final Coil of Bahamut, which will conclude the end-game content, known as the Binding Coil of Bahamut. It is said that we’ll learn more about the history of Eorzea and what happened to Bahamut after the world ended five years prior.

For those of you who haven’t finished the Second Turn of coil, they’ll be available through Duty Finder, so you won’t have to worry about getting a group together… although you might have a few other things to worry about when playing with random players!
