Square Enix and Japanese camera manufacturer Pentax will hold a Final Fantasy XIV in-game photo contest. 15 winners will be picked from all participants, and their winning submission will be will be put on display as part of a special exhibition.
In addition, the winners will receive a set of 3 in-game items as a prize, and other 1,000 participants will be chosen as part of a lottery and can choose one of the 3 in-game items as a gift prize. The three in-game items are the Cloud hairstyle, Noble Barding Chocobo armor, and the Great Paraserpent fashion accessory.
The theme of the contest is “scenes that can be found during an adventure” and participants are allowed to include characters in their submissions. The submission period is now open and will end on August 12, 2024. The judge for the Final Fantasy XIV Pentax in-game photography contest is Japanese photographer Takumichi Seo. The aforementioned exhibition for the winners of the contest will be held at Seo’s gallery Imaging Gallery Gleam located in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture between September 3-16, 2024.
In other news relating to recent FFXIV collaborations, Square Enix announced that the recently announced Gong Cha event will be delayed in some countries and will start in mid-August 2024.
Final Fantasy XIV is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the submission period for the Pentax in-game photo contest will end on August 12, 2024.
