The Borzjan Southern Front
Final Fantasy XIV will introduce a new 72-player instance in Patch 5.3 called The Borzjan Southern Front. The goal is to battle with the IVth Imperial Legion to raise your “mettle.” With enough mettle, you can raise your Resistance rank to help the frontline push forward and storm the Castrum Lacus Litore.
Battles in this instance will initiate randomly in the field, much like the FATEs. There are no limits to the number of players that can participate. Players will receive mettle based on their contributions to battle. Players will also receive lockboxes which can be appraised to receive various rewards.
