Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.25 Launches With New Relic Weapon Series and Skysteel Tools

Final Fantasy XIV launched its Patch 5.25 today with a multitude of additions, including the new Relic weapon series.

Here are some highlights for Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.25:

Save the Queen: Blades of Gunnhildr

The main addition of Patch 5.25 is the new Resistance Weapon quests, Save the Queen: Blades of Gunnhildr. The new quest series offers upgradable equipment for adventurers to work on.

Players can start out by talking to Keiten in Kugane for the “Hail to the Queen” quest. It has a level requirement of 80. Additional requirements including completing the main scenario quest “Shadowbringers” and the sidequest “The City of Lost Angels.” Similar to previous Relic Weapons, players will advance through weapon quests to obtain job-specific weapons. These weapons are enhanced through progress, blood, sweat, and tears.

Skysteel Tool Quests

Patch 5.25 also has a big addition for crafters and gatherers in Final Fantasy XIV with the new Skysteel Tool quests. Players can start out by talking to the Skysteel Engineer NPC for the “Mislaid Plans” quest at Foundation. Requirements include the completion of the quest “Towards the Firmament” and a Disciple of the Hand or Land at level 80.
