Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward will take place in the city-state of Ishgard, where players will first get to try their hands on the three new jobs and carry on with the main scenario. The developers’ blog takes us on a short tour of the city.
The above is a part of Ishgard called “Foundation. It’s an area that’s been pretty beat up, and its scars of war are clearly seen.
As you head up the stairs, you’ll reach the next destination, “The Pillars”.
Unlike the Foundation, the Pillars consist of fancy architecture and pathways, and appears to be unscathed unlike the Foundation area of Ishgard.
You can get a good look at the contrast between the day and night of Ishgard.
There are plenty of other areas of Ishgard that we’ll get to explore once the expansion launches. For now, we can settle for a picture showing a Griffin minion. You can also get a more in-depth look at Isghard and its region in our earlier report.
Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward launches on June 23, 2015 with an early-access starting on June 19th.
