Final Fantasy XIV Countdown to Endwalker Has Begun

Square Enix has formally announced that the countdown to Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker has begun. To celebrate the upcoming expansion, the official Final Fantasy XIV Twitter account will post a special countdown illustration daily leading up to the release of Endwalker. The first Final Fantasy XIV countdown to Endwalker illustration features an Au Ra wearing wearing the Sage armor set from the initial reveal trailer for the Job Class.

The Sage is one of two new Job Classes that will appear in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker. The Sage will be a healing role, with a focus on shielding. The second Job Class that Endwalker will introduce is the Reaper, a DPS Class. Previously, Square Enix shared gameplay footage of how these Jobs will function in the upcoming expansion. Additionally, major story character Alphinaud Leveilleur will appear as a Sage in the expansion.

In an interview, Producer Naoki Yoshida also revealed why the Summoner Job Class is set to receive a complete overhaul leading into Endwalker.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker will release on December 7, 2021. Early access will begin on December 3, 2021.
