Eager to show fans the changes they made in Final Fantasy XIII-2, Square Enix prepared a downloadable demo of the game. The 1.29GB file is available for Xbox Live Gold members now and will be on PlayStation Network when SCEA updates it later today.

The Final Fantasy XIII-2 demo takes place in Bresha Ruins where Noel and Serah fight Atlas, a giant that appeared due to a space-time anomaly. Players will be able to accept a sub-quest, capture a few monsters, and try out the game’s Live Trigger conversation system before facing Atlas.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 comes out on January 31 in North America.
