Square Enix shared the full opening movie for Final Fantasy VII Remake which shows us how the game begins with an Ex-SOLDIER, a group of eco-terrorists, and a flower merchant in Midgar.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is a reimagining of the iconic original with unforgettable characters, a mind-blowing story, and epic battles.

The story of this first, standalone game in the Final Fantasy VII Remake project covers up to the party’s escape from Midgar, and goes deeper into the events occurring in Midgar than the original Final Fantasy VII.

In case you missed it, we recently got a look at plenty of new screenshots featuring moves from Tifa, a look at Red XIII and Hojo. We also learned more about Materia and weapons, Mercenary Quests, Battle Report, and other activities for the game.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will release for the PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020. It’ll be a PS4 exclusive through April 2021. A demo for the game will make a stop at PAX East starting later this month.
