Square Enix released a whopping 752-page Final Fantasy VII Remake Ultimania that has interesting info and talk from the devs. [Thanks, Games Talk.]
First, before continuing, keep in mind that there may be some spoilers if you haven’t cleared Final Fantasy VII Remake. Here are some quotes from the Final Fantasy VII Remake Ultimania’s interview section. [Thanks, @aibo_ac7 (1) ,(2)]:
Tetsuya Nomura, Director: “Hamaguchi (co-director Naoki Hamaguchi) told me that he wanted a fight against the last boss in Midgar. I can’t answer most questions since there will be a continuation, but the last scene that has a certain character stay alive is the biggest highlight of the scenario’s mystery.”
Yoshinori Kitase, Producer “(On how many parts) We have a basic idea but no solid decisions so far. We currently can’t say. There’s a lot of speculation out there that say it’ll be three parts.”
Tetsuya Nomura: “(On how many parts) It depends on how many parts. If it is split into larger parts then it’ll take some time, but if it is split into smaller parts then it would be a shorter span. I personally want to release it sooner.”
Final Fantasy VII released in 1997 and for the first time ever, Square Enix officially revealed the ages of Rufus and the Turks. The information was also revealed in the Ultimania. [Thanks, @aitaikimochi.]:
- Rufus: 30 years old
