The Final Fantasy VII Remake event, Skytree In Midgar, has been closed amid coronavirus concerns. Held in the Tokyo Skytree, the event transported visitors to Shinra headquarters. The event will be temporarily closed from March 1-15, 2020. However, the event officially ends on April 22, 2020. This still gives visitors more than one month to check out the exhibit, despite the temporary closure. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
This collaboration event includes the opportunity to do things like try out Final Fantasy VII-themed food and check out new key art images from the highly anticipated remake. Additionally, various areas within the Tokyo Skytree are decked out with props and standees for fans to take pictures with. Limited collaboration goods are also part of this event. These items include pins, a t-shirt, and a few other novelty items collectors will want to get their hands on.
If you’re not able to make your way to the Tokyo Skytree to attend this event once it reopens, there are plenty of other collaboration goods you can get your hands on. Butterfinger recently teamed up with Square Enix to release a unique, dynamic theme for game heroine Tifa. Fans can also receive Midgar Bangle DLC as part of this collaboration event as well.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will release for the PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020.
