Square Enix shared the latest on Final Fantasy VII Remake with screenshots and details to introduce Wall Market, Honeybee Inn, Tseng, Don Corneo, Barret in battle, and more.
Tseng
Tseng is the leader of the Turks, a small and elite organization with Shinra. They do everything for Shinra, from scouting out SOLDIER candidates, protecting VIPs, and even assassination.
Tseng is a cool-headed leader who knows how to manage his eccentric subordinates. He’s also an old acquaintance of Aerith’s. He’s been keeping an eye on her since she moved into the Midgar slums.
Don Corneo
The true ruler of Wall Market, but mostly known as a lecherous scumbag. He has an uncanny way with people, regardless of his foul face and mouth. He hosts auditions for the “next Mrs. Corneo” every night.
Andrea Rhodea
Andrea Rhodea is the owner and a dancer of the Honeybee Inn. He’s a man of influence within the quarter and has the authority to approve women sent to Corneo’s auditions. He’s always looking for perfection and rigorously trains both his body and mind.
Leslie Kyle
Leslie Kyle may look young, but they say he has the heart of an old curmudgeon. He’s one of the don’s men, known for his dead-eyed stare and general apathy.
Madam M
The owner of a hand-massage parlor in the Wall Market. Similar to Andrea, she’s a figure of influence in the quarter. She, too, has the authority to approve women for Corneo’s auditions. She’s prideful and only as courteous as her customers are deep-pocketed.
Chocobo Sam
Chocobo Sam is a Wall Market Chocobo handler. He’s another figure of authority who can approve women for Don Corneo’s auditions. He also runs his own delivery service called Sam’s Delivery. He’s a big gambling guy who is more hooked on the rush than the money.
Barret in Battle
Barret’s gun arm makes him an ideal long-ranged fighter. He fires a volley from his machine gun with the press of the square button. You can also hold it down for an extended salvo.
The triangle button is for his “Overcharge” attack. It’s more powerful than his regular shots and fills his ATB gauge. Keep in mind that it takes a while to recharge this attack. You can speed up the reload by pressing triangle.
Barret’s Battle Abilities
When Barret fills his ATB gauge, he can use one of his special abilities. Check out a couple of them below:
Focused Shot:Â This uses up all available ATB for a powerful attack. In addition to heavy damage, it also fills up the enemy’s stagger gauge. When that fills up, they’ll be susceptible to more damage.
Lifesaver:Â This ability allows Barret to share some of his HP with allies when they take damage.
Command Materia – Enemy Skill
Equipping Materia allows your characters to use magic, special abilities, and more. Check out the Enemy Skill Materia below:
Equipped party members have a chance to learn certain enemy attacks that are used on them. Keep in mind that the character can only use the learned skills while the Enemy Skill Materia is equipped.
Wall Market
The Wall Market is built on the ruins of the collapsed Sector 6 plate. It is Midgar’s biggest and most infamous entertainment quarter.
Everything here is run by Don Corneo and is almost completely free of Shinra influence.
The incredibly lively quarter offers plenty of “intriguing” ways to pass the lonely nights.
Corneo Colosseum
The Corneo Colosseum is located beneath the streets of Wall Market. It gives fighters the chance to engage in battles against both man and monster.
You can receive glory, fame, and a substantial for winning colosseum battles.
The Honeybee Inn
The Honeybee Inn is a premier nightclub in Final Fantasy VII Remake, located in Wall Market. It offers nights few will ever forget with staff to frequently remind its patrons.
Audiences are dazzled by the Honeybee Inn’s cast of honeygirls and boys every night.
The establishment also offers private rooms for its more discerning customers. This allows them to enjoy time in private with performers of their choice.
There’s a point in the story where Tifa and Aerith glam themselves up to infiltrate Don Corneo’s mansion. Cloud has no other choice but to dress up as well.
Furthermore, each has multiple costumes.
Beginner’s Hall
Beginner’s Hall is a place to learn the basics of weapon enhancement.
There’s a weapon shop located on the ground floor.
The second floor is the base of operations for the neighborhood watch.
New Feature: Jukebox
You’ll come across areas playing special music around town. You can get these songs as music discs from shops or citizens.
An icon appears in the top-left of the screen to show that you’ve acquired a disc.
You can then play a disc on any jukebox. The one in the above image is from Tifa’s bar, Seventh Heaven.
Summon: Leviathan
Summons are a powerful type of Materia. You can equip one to a character to call out a powerful ally into battle.
Leviathan is worshipped a deity in the Wutai region. In Final Fantasy VII Remake, it is a non-elemental summon that takes the form of a water serpent.
Leviathan rises from the briny depths, generating tidal waves that wash away the enemies.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will release for the PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020. Check out episode 1 of “Inside Final Fantasy VII Remake” in our previous report.
