Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade PS5 Port Announced During State of Play

During the February 2021 State of Play, a Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade PS5 version appeared. It includes various upgrades and a chance to see a new adventure starring Yuffie and original characters from Wutai. These were the final announcements during the presentation. You will have to pay more for Yuffie’s story and have a PS5 version to play it. However, PS4 owners will get a free upgrade to the PS5 port.

Yuffie’s segment will cast her as a playable character. She’ll have her own episode, which will have her work alongside new character Sonon and fight different bosses. Here’s the video specifically looking at her adventure. It also briefly introduces her allies.

And here’s the Final Fantasy VII Remake PS4 to PS5 comparison. It shows how the game looks on the next-gen console and goes over new features. It also confirms that people’s save data will carry over. It features improved fog, lighting, textures, and better load times. You will also have graphics options. There will also be a photo mode to play around with too.

We had some hint this would happen. When Final Fantasy VII PS4 box art appeared, it mentioned it would be a timed exclusive. To be specific, it said we could see it elsewhere after April 2021.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is immediately available for the PS4, and the PS5 version is on the way on June 10, 2021. If someone owns the PS4 version, they get it for free.
