Versatility Mode adds 60 FPS support for PS5 Pro players. It also lets you view the game with the same visual fidelity as the Graphics Mode. These improvements make the in-game rendering look richer when it comes to combat and cutscenes. This is specifically for PS5 Pro players.

Square Enix announced this patch in late September 2024. The tweet stating that it’s now live in the game includes screenshots showing how the game looks now on the field, in combat, and in cutscenes.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake, and it’s the second game in the reimagined Final Fantasy VII trilogy. It came out in February 2024, and was both a critical and financial success for Square Enix. Whereas the first game mostly took place in Midgar, this one has the party travel across the Planet to stop Shinra from exploiting the Lifestream.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is readily available on the PS5. The exclusivity arrangement expired on May 29, 2024. So the game may appear in the future on other platforms like Windows PC.
