Back in February 2024, a Final Fantasy VII Rebirth kuji merchandise lottery appeared in Japan and offered Cloud and Tifa Limit Break figures as the two top prizes. Now Square Enix announced it will sell them for $72.99 each worldwide in April 2025.
The Cloud and Tifa Final Fantasy VII Rebirth figures are based on their Limit Breaks from the latest entry in the remake trilogy. In the case of Cloud, he is performing the Ascension attack designed to hit one enemy. Meanwhile, the Tifa one is Dolphin Flurry, which is the latest take on the Dolphin Blow attack that debuted in the original FFVII. Each figure has effects on the base to show the action being depicted. The Tifa one is just under 10 inches tall, while the Cloud one stands at about a foot tall.
Here’s how both of those will look:
When the kuji appeared in Japan, people would buy 880 yen ($5.85) tickets for a chance to get certain prizes. The Cloud figure was the top “A” prize. Meanwhile, the Tifa one was the “last” one, which meant the person who bought the very last ticket in the lottery would get her. Other items that came up in that particular merchandise lottery included mini figures based on characters’ PS1 appearances, towers with mascots on them, keychains, and a chiptune arrangement CD. Those polygon figures are also available on the Square Enix store for people to pre-order ahead of a 2025 release.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available on the PS5, and the Cloud and Tifa Limit Break figures will release worldwide in April 2025. The first entry in the Final Fantasy VII series of remakes is out on the PS4, PS5, and PC. The third entry is in development, but has no release window yet.
