You can take a look at the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth character relationship chart here:

Cloud is a former member of Soldier. The line connecting him to Sephiroth indicates their relationship as fated opponents, while Cloud and Zack are described as close friends. Cloud and Tifa are childhood friends, and the blue arrow connecting them says that Cloud is temporarily cooperating with Tifa and Avalanche.

Barret is the leader of the Midgar Avalanche cell, and he asks Cloud for assistance with the bombing mission. Marlene is Barret’s adopted daughter, and Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie are fellow Avalanche members alongside Tifa. Separated from the rest, Sonon and Yuffie are ninjas from Wutai.

Aerith is the last of the Cetra, also known as the Ancients. She requested Cloud to be her bodyguard after they met. Zack was Aerith’s first love. Elmira is Aerith’s adopted daughter, and Ifalna is her birth mother. The line connecting the Turks to Aerith says that they have been observing her since her childhood, and the red line connecting the Shinra block to her says that Shinra is pursuing her to try to find the Promised Land of the Cetra.

On the Shinra side, Sephiroth and Zack are Solider First Class, and Roche is a Soldier Third Class. Hojo is part of the Shinra Science and Research Division, and Chadley is a former researcher in the same division. President Shinra is the company’s leader, and his son Rufus is the Vice President.

Heidegger is the Shinra Head of Public Safety, Scarlet is the Head of Weapons Development, Reeve is the Head of Urban Development, and Palmer is the Head of the Space Program. The Turks are agents of Shinra, with Tseng being their leader and followed by long-time comrades Reno and Rude.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come to the PS5 on February 29, 2024. The platform exclusivity arrangement ends on May 29, 2024. FFVII Remake is immediately available on the PS4, PS5, and PC. FFVII Ever Crisis is on mobile devices, with a PC release planned.
