Final Fantasy V Hired For PSN’s Game Archives In Japan

As part of Square Enix’s launch plan for Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy, the publisher will re-release Final Fantasy V as a digital download. The PsOne port will be available for PlayStation 3 and PSP via PlayStation Network sometime this spring.

While lacking in new features, Final Fantasy V for PsOne was the first official release of Bartz’s chocobo riding, job changing tale in the West. It was released along with Final Fantasy VI and a soundtrack CD as Final Fantasy Anthology in North America.

 

Square Enix has not said anything about re-releasing Final Fantasy V for PlayStation Network in North America. However, it looks like Square Enix USA is gearing up to release a slew of PsOne games.
