Square Enix revealed a new piano arrangement album based on tracks from its mainline Final Fantasy entries. This album will be primarily based on the Crystalline Resonance piano concerts, which are the focus of a new world tour scheduled to appear in countries globally between December 2024 and March 2025.
The company had also released another piano album earlier in October 2024. But while the “Piano Cover Collection from Square Enix Music Channel” album also included tracks from other franchises like Chrono Trigger and Xenogears, this one will only feature tracks from the Final Fantasy series.
This album will not be like the Piano Collections albums that Square Enix had published online either. The company released multiple albums featuring numerous piano arrangements, but it grouped those by the respective titles. On the contrary, this Crystalline Resonance album will only contain around ten tracks from the post-pixel era mainline entries. The titles featured will range from Final Fantasy VII to Final Fantasy XVI.
Here is the tentative track list for the upcoming Final Fantasy piano album:
- “Zanarkand” from Final Fantasy X
- “Lightning’s Theme” from Final Fantasy XIII
- “Eyes On Me” from Final Fantasy VIII
- “Aerith’s Theme” from Final Fantasy VII
- “Opening Movie – To Be a Sky Pirate” from Final Fantasy XII
- “Away” from Final Fantasy XVI
- “Ascension” from Final Fantasy XVI
- “Suteki da ne” from Final Fantasy X
- “Kiss Me Good-Bye” from Final Fantasy XII
- “Bygone Serenity” from Final Fantasy XIV
Pre-orders for this album are immediately available on the Japanese Square Enix e-Store and other online music stores across the country. The item will have a tax-inclusive MSRP of 3,300 yen (~$21.65).
Square Enix also confirmed on the album’s English webpage that people in North America and Europe will be able to order the album via the company’s web stores for the respective regions. It has still yet to actually put up a listing page on the North American and European web stores though, so it has instead provided a CDJapan listing that is also available to people residing elsewhere worldwide.
The “Crystalline Resonance – Final Fantasy Piano Collection” album will be available on January 15, 2025.
