It’s a big day for multiple versions of Final Fantasy IV. Square Enix released patches for the FFIV PC, Android, and iOS versions. Each platform has different sorts of changes. In the case of the mobile adaptations, folks can finally see the opening movie in-game. As for PCs, more languages are available. On all fronts, the game has been discounted by up to 50%.
Of course, there are more changes than just things like an opening movie and new translations. In the mobile adaptations, larger screens are supported. The App Store page specifically mentions iPhone X support. This goes along with the opening movie’s inclusion.
The FFIV PC patch is much more extensive. Japanese, Korean, both Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and Thai are now available as languages. It also offers full-screen support and gamepad changes.
There’s even a video to go along with the updates, though it focuses on the opening video that people can now see in the mobile versions of the game.
As for the sales, people can now get the PC version for $7.99. It’s 50% off on Steamuntil November 8, 2020. Google Playand the App Store are 53% off, marking the price down to $6.99.
Final Fantasy IV is available immediately for the PC and both Android and Apple iOS devices.
