With all kinds of characters from past Final Fantasy games appearing as guests, fans of the series are looking forward to taking part of the action in Final Fantasy Explorers. They’ll get to do just that a little earlier, once the demo goes up later this year.

A free demo version of the game, titled Final Fantasy Explorers Light, will be made available prior to the game’s release in Japan. The demo will allow you to play the earlier stages of the game, and will have both Internet and local multiplayer available as well.

Additionally, save data can also be transferred to the full version of the game when it releases on December 18, 2014 for Nintendo 3DS.
