More details about how Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will work have been released, and a big one has to do with how the game will work when other people get involved. It turns out, cross-play will feature prominently. All of its multiplatform features were revealed via its official Japanese blog.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition cross-play will be available across devices. If you have the option turned on, people on consoles and mobile devices can play together. In the blog’s example, it mentioned Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 people playing together, or someone with a PlayStation 4 and smartphone.
Cross-saving will also be possible. The exact details of how this will work weren’t announced. However, if someone has purchased multiple copies of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered on multiple devices, then they will be able to transfer save data among them.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and mobile devices on January 23, 2020. Square Enix also noted that these features that involve going online could eventually be discontinued sometime in the future. In case you missed it, the Tokyo Game Show 2019 trailer has also been released.
