It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything regarding the Nintendo Switch version of Fight Crab, a crustacean fighting simulator where the goal is to flip over the opponent. However, over the past week several retailers, including Amazon Japan, have revealed that the Switch version will be released on August 20, 2020 in Japan. In addition, its full Steam launch will be on July 30, 2020.

For those unfamiliar with the game, this is the latest game from Nussoft, the developer of Ace of SeafoodFight Crab focuses on close combat using the two arms of the crustaceans. The more damage you deal to the enemy, the easier they become to flip over on their backside. There’s a wide list of weapons you can use in the game, from traditional weapons, like swords and maces, to guns, laser swords, and rocket boosters. In single player, you’ll be able to upgrade the crustaceans’ various stats. You can also take your favorite lobster loadout online to face off against other crabby foes. The Nintendo Switch version, in particular, uses the Joy-Cons to control the two arms, meaning that you’ll really be able to move more freely.

Fight Crab released last year in early access on PCs via Itch.io and Booth. It will release on August 20, 2020 for the Nintendo Switch. It will leave early access on PCs on July 30, 2020.
