NPC Studio announced on social media that Fields of Mistria is now officially Steam Deck verified. The developer also included a photo of the game running on the system to give people an idea of how it looks on the handheld PC.
While it wasn’t officially Steam Deck verified until now, many reported Fields of Mistria ran well on the handheld prior to the official update. People discussed it in the Steam Discussions forums immediately after its August 2024 launch, with topics coming up discussing its stability.
This is the second update for the game this week. On August 21, 2024, NPC Studio fixed some major issues. One of them addressed the inability to properly use Steam Cloud save files. Some crashes were addressed, which means people can investigate inventory items without fear of the game quitting on them.
The roadmap for the game for 2024 is live now. While the game is expected to remain in early access until sometime in 2025, we will see romance, villager, dungeon, town, skill, and customization updates before 2024 ends.
Fields of Mistria is in early access on PCs via Steam, it is now officially Steam Deck verified, and a full 1.0 launch is expected for around a year after its early access debut.
