NPC Studio announced that the latest Fields of Mistria patch fixed an issue with Steam cloud saves and three different kinds of crashes. People will need to update to 0.11.5 in order to make proper working saves.
In the patch notes, NPC Studio explained how it fixed the Steam cloud saves problem in Fields of Mistria. adjusting the format of the files fixed it. Prior to 0.11.5, there would be a folder with individual files inside of it. Now there is a single file. The developer also released a tool via GitHub to unpack and repack saves as well. To use Steam cloud saves, you won’t need to do anything special. Just play as usual via Steam.
As for the fixed Fields of Mistria crashes, all three were ones that could be unavoidable. Ones tied to item collection and getting notifications is gone. So is one that involved farming, as planting could cause the game to quit. You can now also actually inspect your inventory without worrying about your game shutting down.
