Leading up to the launch of the latest Final Fantasy, Square Enix is sharing brief clips of major characters. The latest FFXVI teaser stars Cidolfus “Cid” Telamon and Ramuh. Cid is the Dominant of Ramuh, and he’s also not aligned with any particular nation. Instead, he’s living in the deadlands with a group of people forging their own path.
Here’s the FFXVI video showcasing Cid and Ramuh’s power. It begins with Ramuh himself, then the 2D artwork of Cid. From there, we see snippets of him in the game, including when he’s channeling Ramuh’s power without completely turning into the Eikon.

As this is from the Japanese FFXVI account, Cid’s Japanese voice actor is featured. He’s voiced by Hiroshi Shirokuma. He appeared as Aucerius in Star Ocean: The Divine Force, Karl in Resident Evil Village, and Cervantes in Soul Calibur IV.
In English he’s played by Ralph Ineson, who also appeared in Diablo IV as Lorath, Harry Potter as Amycus Carrow, and Willow as Commander Ballantine.
Final Fantasy XVI will come to the PS5 on June 22, 2023. There will be a six-month exclusivity arrangement in effect for it. Past teasers looked at characters like Jill and Clive.
