FFXIV Patch 5.58 Adds Auto Logout, Starts The Feast Season 20

There’s a new patch for Final Fantasy XIV. As expected, Square Enix’s notes for it are quite meaty. However, there are a few especially notable changes and additions. For example, FFXIV patch 5.58 adds auto logout, kicks off The Feast Season 20, and increases the amount of Trust NPC EXP people can earn.

First, there are details about how FFXIV auto logout will work. This is one of the efforts to ease server congestion in-game, due to the larger number of people playing. If someone is idle in-game for over 30 minutes, they will automatically be logged out.

A few The Feast Season 20 details came up in the FFXIV 5.58 patch notes. It started and will run until 6.0. The Wolves’ Den Pier Quartermaster will dole out rewards at the end of the season. The first prize will go to one person on each data center and be some furnishing for their home. The top 10 players on each data center will get a weapon token. As for the top 100 on each, they’ll get a special mount. However, everyone who ranks bronze or higher will get weapon tokens.

As for the update to trust NPC EXP, Square Enix didn’t elaborate much on it. The company only noted that the amount of experience you’ll earn will be higher after grabbing FFXIV patch 5.58.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, and 5.58 is out now. The full patch notes can be found at The Lodestone. The Endwalker expansion will launch on November 23, 2021.
