FFXIV Online Store Starlight Celebration 2021 Items and Sale Begins

The holidays came to Hydaelyn again, and Square Enix announced new online store items and sales as a result. The Winter Sale means 2020 Starlight Celebration and Heavensturn items are reduced, while some 2021 items like a Snowman Mount make their FFXIV debut. The new items and sale both kicked off on December 23, 2021.

First, there are four 2021 optional FFXIV Starlight Celebration items in the online store. Three of them are cosmetic items for a home. These are the Deluxe Snow-dusted Tree, Deluxe Unmelting Ice Loft, and Deluxe Unmelting Ice Partition. Each one costs $5. There is also a $12 Snowman Mount for a single character to use. The description for that FFXIV Snowman Mount reads, “It’s best not to think about how this is possible.” This is due to the character riding inside of the Snowman to travel.

Here’s a better look at them.

As for the sale, it is far more extensive. Both past Starlight Celebration and Heavensturn items appear. For example, you could get a Jump Hard Rice Cakes for $3.50 instead of $5, a Handmade Happy New Chocobo for $3.50 instead of $5, or Kabuto helmets for $2.10 instead of $3. An outfit like the Choir Attire is $3.50 instead of $5. Chocobos could be dressed up in $4.90 Authentic Starlight Barding or Saintly Barding. People can also pick up the Starlight Bear mount for $8.40, rather than $12.

While these are optional purchases, there are other items to earn during the 2021 FFXIV Starlight Celebration. Square Enix already revealed this year’s Squirrel Emperor and Wind-up Rudy Minions. People can also get a Starlight Mobile to display in their virtual homes.

Final Fantasy XIV and its Endwalker expansion are available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. The FFXIV Starlight Celebration will run until December 31, 2021. The Winter Sale in the online store on Starlight Celebration and Heavensturn items will run until January 16, 2022.
