Oda is a Lead Story Designer for FFXIV. Though prior to the more recent expansions, he also worked on lore as far back as A Realm Reborn. Meanwhile, Hiroyuki Nagamine is the artist. Nagamine does concept art for the game. He also noted in a Square Enix article that this was his first picture book.
The story follows two well-known monsters from FFXIV. The Namazu river is in danger. To save it, they seek help from an Odder Otter. In order to restore their home, they’ll need to make it rain.
