FFXIV Mahjong Tournament Guests Will Include Yoshi-P and Yosuke Saito

An array of special guests will participate in the annual FFXIV mahjong tournament. Yasumi Matsuno (Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre) and Yosuke Saito (NieR, NieR: Automata) are among this year’s guests. Other participants include Final Fantasy XIV Producer Naoki Yoshida, Final Fantasy XVI Director Hiroshi Takai, Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Main Scenario Writer Kazutoyo Maehiro, and Shinnosuke Tachibana, the Japanese voice actor for Alphinaud Leveilleur. People can watch the broadcast at 2pm JST on December 29, 2020. It will be available to watch through the Japanese streaming service NicoNico. Commentary for the FFXIV annual mahjong tournament will be available in Japanese. There is no information on the official Lodestone website about the broadcast potentially being available in English or any other language at a later date.

Final Fantasy XIV currently has a holiday celebration underway. Players can now participate in the yearly Starlight Celebration to receive new housing rewards, and a festive new mount. In addition, the most recent patch added a plethora of new content for players to enjoy. This includes the inclusion of Emerald Weapon and the final tier of Eden raids.

Final Fantasy XIV is immediately available for the PlayStation 4 and PC. The FFXIV mahjong tournament will be held on December 29, 2020.
