Square Enix will offer Final Fantasy XIV players more places to live in the next expansion. During the FFXIV 2021 Fan Fest, Naoki Yoshida brought up housing in the game. Namely, he announced a new area for people to live. When FFXIV Endwalker arrives, the Ishgard Residential District will offer more housing. He also briefly mentioned Square Enix will be trying to stop housing cheats and real money trading (RMT).
Yoshi-P also went over when people can expect to start scouting out a new place to live. The Ishgard Residential District will open for people to view housing plots when the 6.0 FFXIV Endwalker update arrives. However, that isn’t when people can move in. Plots will only open up in 6.1, according to current plans. There are also apparently plans to make moving to new plots more painless.
This is one of many announcements from the FFXIV Fan Fest event. The May 14, 2021 digital festival began with a full trailer for the Endwalker expansion. Then, we saw its new Reaper job class and Old Sharlayan city.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC, with the PlayStation 5 open beta on now. The Endwalker expansion will launch in Fall 2021 and bring the FFXIV Ishgard residential housing district.
