FFXIV Endwalker Will Welcome You to Old Sharlayan

Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest 2021 is a time for announcements about the game. Among the new announcements are details about the next expansion. For example, when people pick up the FFXIV Endwalker announcement, they’ll visit the city of Old Sharlayan for the first time.

Since actions speak louder than words, the new city debuted with a video. It’s on the water, with a dock and a massive statue. You can even see its Aetheryte. After getting a better look at some of its scenic views, people get to watch the Warrior of Light take a walk around. Since this is a city of scholars, we actually get a chance to look inside one of its libraries in its first teaser.

As a reminder, Sharlayan is a place people have known about in-game for a while. It first appeared back when Heavensward launched. It’s also a city that was always intended to be one of the six available in-game.

Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker will come to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC in Fall 2021. The base game is available on the PS4 and PC and is open beta on the PS5.
